About Laura

My name is Laura(HER/SHE), I would describe myself as being generally quite a balanced person, slow to react, I am usually very sociable and love being part of a deep and meaningful connection. I am getting better at learning to enjoy my own company where I can silence the mind and find my place of peace within that.

I strive to create a supportive, relaxed and empathic environment to foster the development of a strong and healthy therapeutic relationship. It’s so important to me that the whole person- that is you, is heard, acknowledged fully and cared for.

I am a fully qualified Humanistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Person-Centred trained. I work with children aged (7+), young people and adults. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and abide by their Ethical Framework. Professional public indemnity insurance is held, I have an advanced DBS, have regular supervision, and attend regular (CPD) courses and activities to ensure I keep all my skills and knowledge up to date. I follow all the current GDPR recommendations making sure you feel safe and secure knowing that your personal information is being handled and stored correctly. I currently work in Shipston-on-Stour in Warwickshire, the office space is easy to access with good transport links, free parking, using strict COVID-19 measures and in a private facility, which ensures client confidentiality and discretion. I can provide home visits following strict risk assessment and hold sessions outdoors for those who are apprehensive about being in a traditional therapy room.

Cruse Bereavement Care initially worked as part of the administration team, managing allocations, being the first port of call for distress clients, uploading sensitive data onto the computer systems etc. As a counsellor I supported those going through the different processes of loss and grief following a bereavement.

Cruse Bereavement Care initially worked as part of the administration team, managing allocations.

Family support practitioner at Sue Ryder’s Leckhampton Court Hospice, I provided those who were diagnosed with very complex life limiting conditions along with their family members, friends, and carers with psychological and emotional support.

Therapeutic Practitioner at Studio 3’s clinical services based in Alcester, working alongside local authorities, social workers, nexus fostering services, with foster carers who have children in a placement with them.
